We test everything.
We recommend
almost nothing.

We buy every product we test. We use it for weeks. If it does not work, we say so. Most things we test do not make the cut.

How we work

Independent. Retail-purchased. No outside influence.

We buy everything we test. No brand sends us product. When we add an affiliate link, the recommendation was already written — the link follows the pick, never the other way round.

Our full methodology →
01
We buy every product ourselves

No freebies, no review units, no exceptions. If we cannot buy it ourselves, we do not test it.

02
Real-world, multi-week testing

We use products the way you would — in a real home or office, over several weeks, not a 20-minute unboxing.

03
Recommendations come before commissions

Our ranking is finished before we check affiliate rates. A higher commission does not move a product up the list.

Common questions

The short version: we buy everything, we rank nothing for money, and we update when things change.

Do you accept free products to review?
No. We buy everything at retail, out of pocket. We never take free samples, review units, or early access from brands. If a product reaches us before we pay for it, we do not test it.
How do you make money?
We earn a small commission when you buy through our links via the Amazon Associates program and similar affiliate programs. This commission is earned only after you purchase — it does not influence which products we recommend or how we rank them.
How do you decide what to test?
We test what readers ask about most. We focus on categories where brand claims tend to overstate real-world results — screens, sleep gear, ergonomic equipment — because that is where an independent test matters.
Are your recommendations updated?
Yes. When a better product comes out or a previous pick is discontinued, we update the guide. Every recommendation should reflect the best option right now, not whatever was popular when we first wrote it.
What does "digital wellness" cover?
Products that help you use technology without it degrading your health. That means screen protection, ergonomic gear, sleep tools, and focus aids. If it touches the problem of too much screen time or the harm it causes, we test it.
How do I contact the team?
Through our contact page. We read everything but can’t respond to every message. We do not accept product pitches or sponsored content requests.
